Like other fields, the globalization and the rapid pace of change in technology has immensely affected the education and the economy as well. Though higher education would always remain the key factor for the personal and national prosperity yet there is an uncertainty to its nature and form. Professional education commensurating to the changes in information technology has become essential for improving the economic, social and technological condition of a nation

The new world economy is supposed to be one of flux and endless change. We are, therefore, required to invent new idea and techniques to meet the challenges of the changing world. Newports Institute of Communication and Economics is committed to live up to the requirements of the present ages. With a firm belief in the fact that the new economy based on physical capital accumulation cannot be a permanent source of growth with the human capital, we have made available of faculty, which keeps the curriculum in conformity with the changing needs and inculcates among graduates of the institute an urge to acquire professional aptitude and technical skills to solve the practical problems of our system. Our system has been rigid and resistant to change due to the alarmingly low rate of literacy added with the burden of costs thrown on to the students and their families. As the students are less able to afford them, the result is that supply of competent manpower does not respond to the demand. Newports Institute has attacked this imbalance by awarding freeships and lowest possible packages for its different programs without compromising the quality of education.
